Sparks
Fireball's credit system — how it works, what it costs, and how to buy
Sparks are Fireball's credit system — the fuel that powers automated dungeon runs, fishing sessions, and background services. Every action Fireball takes on your behalf consumes Sparks.
What Are Sparks?
Sparks are credits within the Fireball platform. They are not a cryptocurrency token and never will be. Think of them as the operating cost for Fireball's automation features.
You need Sparks to:
- Run automated dungeon battles
- Run automated fishing sessions
- Power background services (Fish Seller, ROM Claimer, Loot Collector, Hatchery)
- Use fishing hints in manual mode
- Earn Fireball XP
How to Get Sparks
Free Trial — Scroll of Noob
New users can claim the Scroll of Noob from the Quests page for a 5-day free trial of dungeon and fishing runs.
The Scroll of Noob covers game runs only. Services still require Sparks unless you have the Scroll of Fire, which grants free access to game runs and all services.
Purchasing with ETH
Purchase Sparks on the Sparks page using ETH. The page includes a cost calculator to estimate your needs based on game type and time range.
Quests & Airdrops
Some quests reward Sparks — like the PWA Install quest. Occasional airdrops may also grant free Sparks.
Spark Costs
Different activities consume different amounts of Sparks. Costs vary by game type, dungeon/fishing subtype, and agent AI model. Your account skills can also reduce costs.
| Activity | Cost Basis |
|---|---|
| Dungeon Run | Per run, varies by type and model |
| Fishing Session | Per session, varies by type |
| Fish Seller | Per invocation |
| ROM Claimer | Per claim operation |
| Loot Collector | Per loot item processed |
| Hatchery | Per maintenance operation |
| Fishing Hints | Per hint in manual mode |
Costs vary by game type, dungeon/fishing subtype, and agent AI model. Your account skills can also reduce costs. The exact Spark cost is always shown before you start a run or subscribe to a service.
Managing Your Sparks
Viewing Your Balance
Your Spark balance is displayed in the dashboard. The Sparks page shows additional details including your 30-day purchase limit.
Transaction History
Track every Spark movement on the Transactions page. Each transaction shows:
- Date — When it occurred
- Type — Game, Purchase, Airdrop, Service, or Hint
- Amount — Sparks consumed or added (with +/- indicator)
- Running balance — Your balance after that transaction
- Details — Links to the specific dungeon, fishing session, or service
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Game | Sparks consumed by dungeon or fishing runs |
| Purchase | ETH → Sparks purchases |
| Airdrop | Free Spark distributions |
| Service | Sparks consumed by automated services |
| Hint | Sparks consumed by manual fishing hints |
Filter by transaction type to focus on specific activity.
30-Day Period Limit
Each account can purchase a maximum of 20,000 Sparks per 30-day rolling period. This limit is enforced by the smart contract. The Sparks page shows your remaining allowance.
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| 30-day period cap | 20,000 Sparks per account |
| Rolling window | Resets on a 30-day rolling basis |
| Gas fee buffer | 0.00002 ETH reserved per transaction |
| Gift limit | Receiver's own period limit applies |
Requirements
To use Sparks, you must:
- Have an active Gigaverse account
- Be under the effects of Giga-Juice
- Have a positive Spark balance (or an active scroll)
Purchasing Sparks
Sparks are purchased with ETH directly from the Fireball dashboard.
Cost Calculator
Before purchasing, use the built-in calculator to estimate how many Sparks you need:
- Select a game type — Dungeon or Fishing
- Choose a time range — Day, Week, Month, or Max
The calculator factors in your account's energy regeneration rate and ROM energy production to estimate daily Spark consumption.
| Time Range | What It Calculates |
|---|---|
| Day | Sparks for one full day of runs |
| Week | Sparks for 7 days |
| Month | Sparks for the current month |
| Max | Maximum purchasable (limited by your ETH balance or period cap) |
Purchase Flow
- Enter your desired amount — type a Spark amount or an ETH amount; the other converts automatically
- Review the cost — see the total in ETH and its USD equivalent
- Check your limits — the page shows your remaining 30-day limit
- Click "Purchase Sparks" — confirm the wallet transaction
- Wait for confirmation — Sparks are processed within approximately 60 seconds
A small ETH buffer (0.00002 ETH) is reserved for gas fees. Your maximum purchase is calculated after this reserve.
Sending Sparks to Another Account
You can gift Sparks to another player:
- Click the wallet icon to toggle the send-to-another-account mode
- Search for the receiver by name or enter their address
- The receiver must be Giga-Juiced to accept Sparks
- The receiver's own 30-day limit is checked separately
- Complete the purchase as usual
Only Giga-Juiced accounts can receive Sparks. The receiver's remaining period limit applies, not yours.
Live ETH Pricing
The Sparks page shows the current ETH price (refreshed every 60 seconds) and converts all values to USD in real time. The Spark price per unit is displayed so you can see exactly what you're paying.
Wallet Connection
If your wallet isn't connected, the purchase button will prompt you to connect first. Fireball uses Abstract Global Wallet (AGW) for transactions — the same wallet you use for Gigaverse.
Tips
- Use the cost calculator before purchasing — select your game type and time range to estimate needs
- Monitor your transactions to understand consumption patterns
- Start with fewer runs to learn the costs before buying in bulk
- The Scroll of Fire is your best value overall — it removes Spark costs for both game runs and services
