Fishing
Learn about fishing types, manual and agent modes, and the hint system
Fishing is one of the core game modes in Gigaverse. Each fishing session pits you against a fish in a card-based battle — play the right cards to deal damage, weaken the fish, and reel it in. Fireball can automate the entire process or give you hints while you play manually.
How It Works
- Choose a fishing type — Small, Normal, or Big
- Pick a mode — Agent (automated) or Manual (play with agent AI hints)
- Set the number of sessions — Based on your energy and daily limits
- Start fishing — Fireball handles the rest, or you play card by card
Once started, your sessions appear in the Jobs page. You can watch live via the fishing viewer, or close your browser and come back later.
Fishing Types
| Type | Energy Cost | Daily Limit | Juiced Limit | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small | 12 | 10 | 20 | Lower difficulty, smaller rewards |
| Normal | 16 | 10 | 20 | Balanced difficulty and rewards |
| Big | 20 | 10 | 20 | Toughest fish, best rewards |
Juiced mode doubles your daily limit from 10 to 20 runs for all fishing types. Values are subject to change based on game configuration.
Gameplay Modes
Agent Mode (Automated)
In Agent mode, Fireball's agent AI plays the entire session for you. The agent AI:
- Evaluates each card's potential outcome
- Calculates redraw probabilities
- Selects the highest expected return play
- Handles multiple consecutive sessions automatically
Agent mode supports all configuration options including autoclaim, autorepair, and equipment selection.
Manual Mode
In Manual mode, you play the fishing game yourself with optional agent AI hints. You're limited to one session at a time but get full control over every card decision.
Manual mode is great for learning the fishing mechanics, having fun with the card game, or when you want a more hands-on experience.
Hint System
When playing manually, Fireball can show you agent AI-powered hints for each decision:
- Recommended action — "Play {card}", "Redraw your hand", or "Choose {card}"
- Reasoning — Why the agent AI recommends this move
- Confidence level — Color-coded from Very High (90%+) down to Very Low (<30%)
A tutorial modal explains the hint system the first time you use it. Free hints are included daily, with additional hints available via Sparks.
Configuration Options
Before starting a fishing session, you can configure:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Runs | Capped by energy, daily limits, and sparks |
| Autoclaim | Automatically claim energy from ROMs if needed |
| Autorepair | Auto-repair broken gear during the session. If gear is beyond repair, Fireball will swap it for another piece of the same rarity from your inventory |
| Jebaitor Skill | Use Jebaitor skill when at daily limit (if you have the skill) |
| Equipment | Select 1 Rod and up to 2 Lures for the session |
A Repeat Previous Run button appears after your first session, letting you quickly reuse your last configuration.
Live Fishing Viewer
While a session is in progress, you can watch it live. The viewer shows:
- Fish health bar — Track damage dealt to the fish
- Your hand — See your current cards and select plays (manual mode)
- Redraw option — Reshuffle your hand without playing
- Round counter — Track the current round
- Damage numbers — Floating indicators for hits, misses, redraws, and catches
- Encounter history — Full log of every action taken
- Fishing drops — Items and rewards earned
On desktop, the sidebar shows your account level, equipped gear, encounter history, and drops. On mobile, these are available as collapsible sheets.
Fishing History
View your past sessions on the Fishing page (sidebar → Games → Fishing). The history page includes:
- Type filter — show All, Small, Normal, or Big sessions
- Caught-only filter — toggle to show only successful catches
- Result limit — display 20, 50, or 100 sessions
- Catch rate — see your overall catch rate for the filtered results
Tips
- Use Agent mode for efficient grinding — the agent AI makes optimal decisions
- Try Manual mode to learn — the hint system teaches you the card strategy
- Equip your best rod and lures — gear significantly impacts your catch rate
- Check your equipment durability before queuing multiple sessions
