Notifications

Set up push notifications to stay updated on your Fireball activity

Fireball supports push notifications to keep you informed about job completions, service updates, and other events — even when you're not on the site.

Setting Up Notifications

  1. Go to Settings in the dashboard sidebar
  2. Find the Notification Settings section
  3. Click Enable Notifications
  4. Allow browser notification permissions when prompted
  5. Select which notification types you want to receive
  6. Click Save & Enable

If your browser has blocked notifications for Fireball, you'll need to manually re-enable them in your browser settings. Look for the lock icon in your address bar to manage site permissions.

Managing Notifications

Once enabled, you can customize your notifications:

  • All Notifications — Master checkbox to enable or disable everything
  • Per-type toggles — Enable or disable individual notification types
  • Save Changes — Apply your updated preferences
  • Disable All — Turn off notifications entirely

Push Notifications vs. Browser

Push notifications work through your browser's notification system:

  • Desktop — Appears as system notifications
  • Mobile PWA — Appears as native push notifications (requires the app to be installed)
  • Background delivery — Notifications arrive even when the Fireball tab is closed

Requirements

  • A modern browser that supports the Push API
  • Browser notification permission granted for Fireball
  • Service Worker registered (happens automatically)

App Updates

Fireball's service worker checks for updates every 60 minutes. When a new version is available, you'll be prompted to refresh. This ensures you always have the latest notification capabilities.
